Who runs Tip Out Calc
Tip Out Calc is a small, independent website made to help servers and bartenders do quick tip-out math at the end of a shift. It is not affiliated with any restaurant, point-of-sale company or payroll provider.
What the site does
The calculator takes the tips you earned and the tip-out for each person or role, as a percent of tips or as fixed dollar amounts, and shows what each person gets and what you keep. Results update as you type, and the math runs entirely in your browser. The calculator is available in nine languages.
The Guides section explains how tip-outs work in plain language: how much servers usually tip out, typical shares by role, how to do the math step by step, the difference between tip pools and tip-outs, tipping out on sales versus tips, and everyday tip-out etiquette. The FAQ answers quick questions.
